Silver Siphon is a web application built by Aktura Technology (that’s us). We specialise in web and software development for small business.
A few months ago, we were asked to set up a payment system for one of our clients. The invoice needed to be generated after payment was received. Stripe and Xero are amazing products, so we naturally gravitated towards them.
It was easy enough to set things up so that an invoice was created inside Xero every time a payment was made, but there was a problem. There was no way to pull in the Stripe transaction data to reconcile against those invoices! The only option was to manually reconcile the Stripe transfer to multiple invoices, and stripe out the fees manually. This involved way too much work for something that really should be automated.
The real solution would be to have Stripe data imported as a normal “bank account” inside Xero. A bit of research made it obvious that many businesses were looking for a solution to this exact problem. We started development a couple of says later.
Now, Silver Siphon saves multiple businesses countless hours of data manipulation and headaches every month. You can read more about how the Stripe to Xero sync works here.
This is the only photo available where James isn’t pulling a face. Combine a web marketer, developer and an engineer and you get this guy. He’ll put techy stuff into a language you can understand.
Mark is a genius developer. There are some advanced topics and implementations that make some developers brains melt. To Mark, pretty much all of it is as easy as falling off a log. Somehow he still excels as developing incredibly intuitive software, making things very easy to use. Mark is the developer most companies wish they had.
Soloman is an amazing developer who has been involved in development since the beginning. He makes things work, and makes them work well.
